Consultations
A consultation, in simple terms refer to the interaction between one of our team members and a customer. While this may sound similar to a therapy session the main difference of a consultation is that the consultation’s goal is to understand the customer and what may be the potential issue. In other words, the consultation is an interaction where the customer needs are assessed.
Stress Management
Stress may be interpreted as part of everyone’s self-defense mechanism. It is an automatic and normal reaction to a challenge or demand. Stress can be detrimental to humans if left without control for extended periods of time. Stress management refers to the approaches that a customer may use to control the stress.
At Panacea Alliance our stress management program centers on the customer. For some this could entail a program where we help them learn about problem-solving skills and time-management. For others we may focus on the emotional responses and the ability to adapt to change. All in all, each customer is different, and we accommodate that uniqueness as aprt of our stress management program.
Focus Therapy for ADHD
ADHD refers to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder which normally presents itself as trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, or been overly active. ADHD can be treated with therapy designed to change the behavior of the customer. The plan of action for ADHD customers may normally involves:
- Medicine. Regulates the brain.
- Behavior therapy. Assists customer with the development of the skills affected by ADHD.
- Parent coaching. Teaches parents the best ways to handle the behavior challenges presented as consequence of ADHD. behavior difficulties that are part of ADHD.
Neuropsychology Assessments
Assessment and Testing
Panacea Alliance offers a variety of services for individuals of all ages, organizations and professionals seeking psychological and neuropsychological assessment, evaluations and recommendations.
Testing refers to the act of issuing questionnaires, checklists and other activities designed to collect data. Assessment involves the interpretation of data collected to come up with a diagnosis and a plan of action. Common assessments performed at Panacea include but are not limited to:
- Learning disabilities
- Attention deficit disorders/Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders
- Pre-surgery evaluations
- Neuropsychological Assessments
Social Anxiety Disorders
Social anxiety disorders refer to the feeling of fear or anxiety when the individual is surrounded by others or must perform in front of others. Social anxiety derives from the fear of been evaluated, rejected and or made fun of in social situations. Social anxiety is a chronic mental health condition that may also express itself with physical symptoms such as such as a rapid heart rate, nausea, and sweating.
Depending on the customer, social anxiety disorders may be treated with medication and therapy. As before, our team members will evaluate the case and select the treatment options most beneficial for our customer.
Custodianship Assessments
Custodian assessment refers to the process where one of our team members, usually a psychologists, collects data from the parents and the child as it relates to each person strengths and weaknesses. One this data collection is completed we will evaluate the same and recommend custody and co-parenting time as a result of the assessment.
Depression Treatment
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in the person. Treatment for patients suffering for depression depends on the patient. Normally the treatment plan will consist of medication and counseling. We strongly believe in the power of counseling and social interaction, so we do everything possible to facilitate to our customers the ability to speak with one of our team members on a regular basis.
Medication Management
Medication Management is the process where one of our team members evaluates the behavioral health medications taken by our customers and assists them with the actions necessary to increase/decrease the appropriate doses.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is the process where one of our team members provides treatment on a one-on-one basis with our clients. Individual therapy may be offer in person or through the use of technology for distant encounters.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Panacea’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to work directly with employers assisting them with behavioral health issues that affect the efficiency of the workforce. EAP are customized to fit each particular employer needs.
